1920. The plot revolves around Atlantic City. The story begins a few hours before the U.S. entered the era of “Prohibition”. Enoch “Nucky” Thompson is the city treasurer and the boss of local criminals with ties at the “top” – decides to take advantage of the situation and get the fabulous profits on the illegal trade in alcohol.
